I find subtle differences between the dithers, also at regular listening levels. Sat Jan 17, 1: Just curious to see if UV22HR is preferred when dithering to bit, or are the Pow-r options better? Be prepared to not hear ANY difference at all. Sun Sep 30, 8: MacBook Pro with Logic 9.

POW-r 2 I never use uv22hr the noise shaping is too sharp and the dynamic results don’t make up for it. It’s basically colored dither, not traditional noise shaping.
POW-r 3 yields very good dynamic results but the noise shaping is a bit obvious in the kHz area, so not always my first choice for pop music. Uv22hr the Weiss hardware units I uv22he 2 better which makes me think 2 is implemented differently uv22ur bugged in Logic Pro.
The distortion can be very obvious uv22hr tails during mastering. And it’s “noisy”, but not a problem in most cases and it still beats truncation.

Hackintosh i5 K 4. If you can’t hear the uv22br between dither types but want to avoid truncation distortion then I recommend you use POW-r 1 when you bounce to uv22hr bit.
Mon Feb 12, 7: Sat Uv22hr 05, 5: No dither truncation to 16 bits makes for a slightly more mid-rangy sound overall, probably due to the distortion artifacts. Sun Sep 30, 8: I find subtle differences between the dithers, also at regular listening levels. Sat Jan 17, 1: Thu Feb 25, 6: UV is quite similar uv22hr POW-r 1 in sound and technology not traditional noise shapingso I’m wondering why they bothered to add this choice.

I haven’t tested UV22 recently but I’ll do that soon. Great for classical uv22hr and dynamic acoustic music. Be prepared to not hear ANY difference at all. Thu Feb 25, uv22hr You’ll see there is little difference between them. POW-r 1 is my favorite choice when I’m not dealing with high fidelity dynamic material.

Wed Feb 10, 3: Uv22hr is something you will only ever hear in very very quiet passage or on the very end uv22hr a fade out. Allows for the best possible sound resolution when bouncing bit recordings into bit files.
If you do a google search for “dither shoot out” you should fine a audio comparison between all the major dithers.
MacBook Pro with Uv22hr 9. Lagerfeldt, I’d uv22hr curious to know if you’re talking about hearing differences between dithers where the program material is above, say, dBFS, while monitoring at 85dBA SPL or so, and also if you have done this as a blind test. Just curious to see if UV22HR is preferred when dithering to bit, uv222hr are the Pow-r options better?
